Open to All Aviators and Invited Car Clubs
Announcing the 2023 Targa Lowcountry’ Rally & Fly-In Windy-Day REDO on Saturday October 7th at Claude Dean (3J1) in Ridgeland SC. Whether you drive (or fly) your special ride, come join us for a great day of automotive and aviation camaraderie and fun from 9:00am-1:00pm! Attendees can expect a range of collector cars and aircraft on display, plus a number of aviation activities to watch, and participate in! 3J1 airport holds their own grass-roots annual fly-in event called the “Race to Ridgeland”, or R2R, and they have invited the Targa Lowcountry Rally & Fly-In participants back to enjoy the aviation portion we missed April 30th.
Fly-In aviators who wish to join us may come and go at your convenience but be mindful of the race (9:00am-10:00am) and additional traffic in the pattern. Upon landing, taxi to the south ramp to park (not FBO).
Aviators who are interested in participating in the aviation program please contact event Aviation Coordinator Lee Logan or use the form below for more detailed information.
A number of collector cars and aircraft will be on display with aviation activities to include: fly-bys and aircraft demonstrations, discovery flights, airplane rides ($), food truck, and static displays … plus a few other surprises. Please note: Pre-registered car clubs only. (Car club attendees please contact your club leadership for important arrival instructions due to downtown road closures.)
